NCS is Expanding!

Dear NCS Family,

A while back I said to stay tuned for exciting news coming our way. Well, here we are with a couple of pieces of exciting news that demonstrate clearly how God is at work in our midst.

Just last evening, the congregation of First Baptist Church of Kearney voted unanimously to allow Northland Christian Schools to open an elementary/early childhood site at their Tryst Falls facility. We have been in conversation with FBC Kearney for a while (initial conversations started almost five years ago) about the potential of starting a Christian school on the property that was, at one point, Tryst Falls Baptist Church. FBC Kearney now owns that property and is very excited about Northland Christian Schools opening a school in the education building on the site! We are grateful for the leadership and vision of Pastor Ken Parker, FBC Kearney, as we have worked through the details of this partnership.

The Tryst Falls location allows NCS to expand into an area that shows great potential. At the same time, the building itself has numerous classrooms that are of adequate size to allow this campus to grow and become a viable addition to the Northland Christian School system. Praise the Lord for this provision! Pray now that the divine appointments God has established will be kept by the families He intends for us to minister to through this new opportunity.

The second piece of exciting news is similar in nature to the first. In order to reach more families with Kingdom Education, our Board of Education has approved the purchase of a set of modular classrooms. The modular classrooms that have been purchased will be placed near the northwest corner of our current building. The modular space will provide four classrooms, three offices, adequate restroom facilities, and storage. The immediate impact of this addition will be opening classroom space in the main elementary wing for 80+ new students.

We intend to now offer two classrooms in each elementary grade, kindergarten through fifth grade, at the North campus. Some might ask why we are adding modular classroom space to our campus in the midst of a Kingdom Campaign to fund a classroom wing. The answer is that we want to provide high quality, Christ-centered instruction for as many students as possible. This addition illustrates the need to add the classroom wing, and to do so as quickly as possible.

The prayer for these 80 new students is that they will grow in their ability to learn, love, and lead the world to Christ.

One Lord, One Mission,

Bryan Prewitt
