Portrait of a Kingdom Educator

At Northland Christian, we believe school should be an extension of the Christian home. As parents, you are entrusting your most valuable possessions to your child’s educators. What an honor it is for us to come along side you to bring your children up in the love of Jesus Christ.

As a Kingdom Education school, we hold our teachers to the highest of standards. The portrait of a Kingdom Educator is reflected in the portrait of a Kingdom graduate as our teachers are learning, loving, and leading their students to Christ. Our educators are living out their God-given calling to infuse your child’s education with the love and redemption of Jesus.

And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
— Mark 12:30-31

As lifelong learners,
our educators are

Able to articulate their faith in grace and truth to students, parents, and peers;

Continuously growing in their knowledge of Jesus, Scripture, and their subjects;

Mentoring students as they walk with them through spiritual and intellectual development;

Equipped to teach and interact with students from a Biblical worldview;

Consistently challenging students to unlock their God-given potential through new applications of critical thinking and apologetics.

LOVE

As lovers of Jesus Christ,
our educators are

Displaying the love of Jesus Christ through teaching, mentorship, and discipleship;

Practicing biblically-based structure and discipline within the classroom;

Opening students’ hearts and minds to new ways in which they can apply their faith;

Integrating the love of Jesus and the redemption of His story into every aspect of learning and vocation;

Pushing students to take their faith to the next level - not just cultivating head knowledge but making their faith relevant to our world.

LEAD

As leaders,
our educators are

Leading within the classroom, exemplifying humility, discernment, and grace;

Welcoming students into their own faith journey;

Taking every opportunity to counsel students on who God has called them to be;

Walking with integrity - above reproach;

Servants of Christ sent to serve in partnership with the family and church to build up your child in Jesus Christ.
