Financial Assistance Specifics

Northland Christian School’s long-term goal is to provide Christian education that is accessible, affordable, and sustainable. Our ongoing desire is to partner with Christian families in the discipleship and education of their children. For that purpose, the Board of Education has authorized a Tuition Assistance Program to aid families in the cost of tuition.

The financial assistance process is to be completed AFTER the enrollment process is completed and enrollment fee is paid.

Financial Aid Facts

Applicants must go through the academic enrollment process first. An applicant’s financial ability is not a factor in the admission decision.

Our program is a need-based program.  Any family is welcome to apply after completing online enrollment and paying the enrollment fee.  The maximum award is 50% of the tuition charge per student.

Many factors are considered in determining awarded amounts.  This includes income, expenses, debt, account history, and financial hardships. Non-financial criteria that is considered includes a student's academic, attendance, and discipline records.

Parents must apply for tuition assistance each year through an online application process that requires tax returns and additional financial documents.

The First Consideration deadline each school year is March 1st.  We strive to notify families in writing no later than the end of April.  After this deadline has passed, additional applications will be accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis; however, the majority of financial aid resources will be committed to families whose applications are completed and submitted meeting all above requirements, including the deadline. A new application must be submitted every year.

Only families who feel that they are not able to pay full tuition should apply. For the 2019-20 school year, tuition assistance is only available for those students enrolling in grades K-12 at the Kansas City North and Platte City Campuses. Any account balances owed by the applicant must be current in order for the Tuition Assistance application to be considered. Once Tuition Assistance is granted, aid may be revoked in the event of non-payment.

Applications must be completed through CFS, and ALL requested verification paperwork must be remitted to complete the application.  To apply, visit and enter our school's 5 digit school number 36916 to create an account. The cost to submit an application is $35 per family (2019-20 school year) and is non-refundable. The program is coordinated through the school's Controller, Superintendent and a Finance Committee made up of Board Members.

While the school is not able to provide financial assistance to every deserving student, we make every attempt to work within the available resources for that school year to make the school accessible to as many students as possible.
